I had the chance to interview Bob Mould before his Toronto show on Friday for my day job. We ended up talking at length about Viletones, Diodes, D.O.A. He invited me to sing this, and it was totally insane and probably the most fortunate and amazing thing I’ve ever been able to do.

Throughout March, keep your eyes here. We’re releasing a series of digital split singles with hard-to-find tunes from the Normals, the Extroverts, the Modern Minds, Dub Rifles, Verdix, Pink Steel, Popular Mechanix, and more. And if you’re in Hamilton on March 29th or Montreal on March 30th, we’ll have release events with BIG GUESTS and GOOD TUNES. See you in the spring!

Tune in for tales of fighting bikers in Kelowna and OG punk from Newfoundland.

Speaking at a free all-ages in-store as part of Wavelength Music Festival THIRTEEN this Sunday, February 17, in Toronto at Grasshopper Records. The Soupcans are playing, too. 4pm.

Since punk isn’t a museum piece, here’s an Rdio playlist of my top 50 releases from 2012. What’s missing?

Motor X looms large over Perfect Youth — he passed away late last week. Read NOW’s memorial.

No seriously, this is insane. Head over to CBC and watch the second video.
